Amalgam

I've started three separate posts and I just can't seem to get it together, so here's what you get:

The Bad:
* I somehow hurt my back today and am seriously considering emergency chiropractic attention because I'm just fine ... AS LONG AS I DON'T MOVE. I feel like I'm wearing one of those goofy ballroom dancing upper-body positioners.
* Despite keeping to Operation Ramen, this month is still looking like Shortfall McPovertypants.
* Because of Operation Ramen I can't get a babysitter to go drink with graciously greet Bossy, so I'm either going to do a drive-by with Wee One in tow and risk the disdain of my peers, or not go at all.
* I survived the week but I've taken on the responsibilities for my job that doesn't exist yet, and I'm struggling not to get sucked in.

The Good:
* It's the weekend; I've survived the Week After Vacation.
* I didn't spend more than $50 on food.
* I managed to tweeze my eyebrows myself. As much as I miss Victoria at the Biltmore Red Door, i realize that there's no place for her in Operation Ramen.
*Three boxes of Kleenex later, my horrible cold seems to be on the wane
*Bossy will be in Scottsdale tomorrow!

Also in good news, I'm doing better about the stupid HH thing -- thank you everyone for your kind comments and e-mails. I guess we've all been there, yes?

I've been doing a lot of cooking, which is strange. I think I'm suddenly so aware of not being wasteful that I've rediscovered all this fabulous equipment I have in the kitchen. My God! A Cuisinart! And look at that Kitchen Aid! And how about all that great cast iron and enamel cookware! It's therapeutic.

Once we're out from under Operation Ramen - I'm buying some cast iron skillets and some enamel cookware!

I totally hear you. You should ask your sister if she can look after Wee One so you can go meet Bossy.
